Convienent location.
Very dated and quite tatty in places. Old burns in the curtains, tears to some carpets. A noisy party in the function room went on until 0130am. Fighting broke out in the car park requiring police attendance. People shouting in the early hours.

Nothing, we didn't even stay for breakfast as the room was so dirty and the beds really small. It felt like a youth hostel! We will not be recommending this hotel.
Really small beds, dirty shower, holes in bed sheets, broken windows, broken lamps, bad position of bed lamps as you can't sit up in bed as you bang your head, no extra pillows, dust and dirt down side of bed, poor tv reception. The photos on the web site are nothing like the reality of monton house hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well presented and well cooked. The lift was very welcome as I have difficulty climbing stairs.
I found the bedroom rather stifling - it might have helped if the window had been opened during the day.

It was close to the places we were visiting, although our concert was postponed.
We asked for more milk in our room, but did not receive any. Had the rest of our drinks without milk.

Obviously a great hotel some years ago but now rather dated and tired, great staff, pleasant helpfull and called to confirm my visit 2 days earlier, even 4**** dont do this nice one. Ideal for men on football trip but as it is now would not take the wife there, she wold murder me!!!

We were very worried after reading terrible reviews. Its a budget hotel! Its clean and beds are comfy. Food can't be faulted. In need of love and attention but arn't we all. The staff make the place funny, fun and bend over backwards to help. We certainly will go back. In fact we already had another hotel booked for our next trip after reading the reviews, but we cancelled it and are going back to Monton. Its like staying with family. Don't expect the Hilton, go with an open mind and you'll love it!
Needs updating desperatly.

Only 10 minutes for me to travel to work.
Nothing everthing was great from the moment I arrived to when I departed. I would certainly recomend this hotel to all of my colleagues.

The bed was comfy and sheets and towels was fresh.
The place is still a little dated i stopped last year and nothing has changed since then. I also had to change room as there was only one bedside light working and they had given me a twin when i had booked a double, but the staff was friendly and soon got us moved to another room with out any fuss.

Hotel is basic with fair facilities. Good value for money, we used the hotel simply as a roof over our heads after a late game at Old Trafford, and it did the job - cheaply.

Good location - staff friendly
The hotel is a bit tired and could do with some updating. It was also very busy with a wedding reception and birthday party which was loud until mid-night.
